Privacy Policy

TurboCut AI, Inc. (“TurboCut,” “we,” “us”) — a Delaware corporation based in California — turns your live streams and uploaded videos into edited long-form videos and short-form clips. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using TurboCut you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account details. Your name and email, handled by our authentication provider (Clerk). We never see or store your password.
• Connected platform access. When you link Twitch, YouTube, or Kick, we store encrypted OAuth tokens so we can fetch your VODs and (with your action) publish finished videos. You can disconnect any platform at any time.
• Your content. The videos you upload or that we ingest from your connected channels, their audio, chat logs, and everything we derive from them — transcripts, detected highlights, edit plans, clips, captions, thumbnails, and rendered output.
• Voice recordings. Only if you explicitly enable voice retakes. See “Voice cloning” below.
• Billing. Subscription and payment details are handled by Stripe. We receive your plan, status, and usage — never your full card number.
• Usage data. Basic logs and error reports (via Sentry) to keep the service running and diagnose problems.

How we use your information

• To provide the editing pipeline — transcribe, score, cut, caption, package, and render your content.
• To publish videos to a connected platform, only when you tell us to.
• To enforce plan limits, bill you, and prevent abuse.
• To improve reliability and support you when something breaks.

We do notsell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under California law (CCPA/CPRA). We also do not use your video content to train our own or third parties’ general AI models.

Service providers we work with

We rely on a small set of service providers (“subprocessors”) to run TurboCut. Your content reaches a provider only when it’s needed for the task you asked for. Providers marked optional are used only if you turn on the related feature.

Voice cloning

Voice retakes are strictly opt-in. A voice model is built only from your own recordings, only after you complete an explicit consent step, and it is used only to regenerate lines in your own videos. You can delete your voice model at any time, which also revokes it at our voice provider.

Data retention

• Paid plans: we keep your projects and output until you delete them or close your account.
• Free plan: projects are automatically deleted after a limited retention window (currently 14 days) to control storage costs.
• You can delete a project, a voice model, or your entire account at any time. Deletion removes your content from active systems; routine backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

Your rights and choices

• Access, correct, export, or delete your personal data.
• Disconnect any linked platform and revoke its access.
• Cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page.
• Depending on where you live (e.g. the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, including the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a regulator.

Security

Platform tokens are encrypted at rest, traffic is served over HTTPS, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you of a breach as required by law.

Children

TurboCut isn’t directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date, and significant ones will be communicated in-app or by email.
