The video editor you talk to
Say what you want.
Get the cut.
Bring a stream, a podcast, a talking-head video, a tutorial — anything long. TurboCut reads every word and cuts a YouTube-ready edit plus vertical shorts. Then you change it by typing: “make it ten minutes, cut the intro, keep the argument.”
Upload a file or connect Twitch or Kick. No card to start, 1 free hour every month.

Prompt-based editing
Every other editor makes you find the frame.
This one takes direction.
You already know what you want the video to be. The hard part has always been the hours between knowing and having it. Say it in a sentence and TurboCut re-plans the whole edit — every cut, every transition, the pacing — and hands it back in seconds. Don't like it? Say the next thing. It keeps every version, so nothing you try is ever destructive.
It re-plans, not just trims
An instruction re-cuts the whole timeline — which moments survive, how long each runs, where it opens. Not a slider nudged by 5%.
Steer it before it starts
Say what the video should be when you generate the first cut, and it plans toward that instead of a generic template.
Every revision is kept
Each pass is saved as its own version. Go three prompts deep, decide the first one was right, go back to it.
How it works
Long recording in. Finished video out.
01
Bring the footage
Drop an MP4, or connect Twitch or Kick and let new streams arrive on their own. Tell it what kind of video it is — podcast, tutorial, gameplay, talking head — and it plans accordingly.
02
Get a real first cut
It transcribes every word, finds what's worth keeping, and returns a full edit: cuts, chapters, captions, and a set of vertical shorts. Even a six-hour recording is planned in about six minutes.
03
Direct it until it's right
Type what to change and the edit re-plans around it. Or open the transcript and delete words. When you're happy, publish to YouTube in a click or download the files.
Edit by typing
Delete the word, delete the video.
When a sentence is easier to fix than to describe, skip the prompt. Your whole recording is a document you can read — kept words look normal, cut words are struck through. Highlight a tangent, press delete, and the timeline closes the gap.
- Click any word to jump the player there
- Bring back a cut word without leaving a jump
- Sponsor reads and B-roll are protected from stray edits
- Undo, redo, and autosave, like a doc

HOST and that's the part uh, like, I mean I think you have backwards.
GUEST okay so basically what happened was nobody wanted to say it out loud. So I did.
Shorts, done for you
Every clip leaves ready to post.
The same recording becomes vertical clips without a second pass. TurboCut finds the moments that stand alone, then does the part a clipper charges for: a bold on-screen hook, word-timed captions, a title built to get the click.
- A burned-in hook on every clip
- Crop or split-screen, framed exactly how you want
- One toggle bleeps swearing in the audio and the captions
- Export 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 from one edit

Everything else
The work an editor does. On every video.
None of this is a separate tool, an export, or a round trip. It all happens on the same timeline the prompt just rebuilt.
Filler removal
Ums, ahs, and dead air go without you asking
Chapters
Topic changes become YouTube chapters, snapped to your cuts
Multi-cam
Second camera synced by audio, angles cut on the beat
Captions
Subtle subtitles on long-form, bold word-timed ones on shorts
Sponsor reads
Upload the read, and it lands where people won't skip
Voice retakes
Flubbed a line? Redo it in your own voice, with your consent
B-roll
Free stock or AI-generated, with a hard cost cap per video
Music
Swap a track that would get you claimed, in one click
Titles & thumbnails
SEO titles, descriptions, and thumbnail options per cut
Copyright scan
Check the final cut before it costs you the upload
Brand kits

If you stream
The stream ends. The edit starts.
Connect the channel once and you stop starting anything. When you go offline TurboCut pulls the VOD, reads every word, cuts a YouTube-ready video, and builds your shorts with hooks, captions, and titles already on them.
- Auto-ingest runs around the clock — streams become projects on their own
- Chat is aligned to the second, so the spikes become priority moments
- Star a moment live from the browser extension while you play
- Turn any moment into its own short, or stitch several into one video
Pricing
Cheaper than one edited video.
Hours are the footage we process each month. Go over and it's $4 an hour, with no surprise jumps. Cancel whenever you want.

Good questions
+Do I have to stream to use this?
No. Upload any MP4 and tell it what kind of video it is — podcast, tutorial, talking head, gameplay, or something else. Streamers get one extra thing: connect Twitch or Kick and new VODs arrive on their own.
+What can I actually ask it to change?
Length, pacing, where it opens, what survives, what gets cut. Things like "make it ten minutes", "cut the small talk", "keep the bit about the keyboard", "punchier". It re-plans the whole edit each time, and every version is kept so you can go back.
+Which platforms does it work with?
Twitch and Kick for pulling VODs by link — YouTube blocks automated downloads, so for a YouTube source you upload the file instead. Finished videos publish to YouTube today, with TikTok and Instagram on the way.
+How long can my videos be?
Built for marathon recordings — anything up to 12 hours per video on a paid plan. A six-hour recording is planned into a cut in about six minutes. The free plan takes videos up to an hour, which is enough to see what it does to your footage.
+Do I stay in control of the edit?
Always. Every cut is yours to change, on the timeline, in the transcript, or by telling the AI what you want. Nothing posts anywhere until you say so.
+What happens to my voice and my footage?
Your footage stays yours, and we don't use it to train AI models. Voice retakes only ever clone your own recordings, behind a consent step you can undo anytime.
+Can I cancel?
Any time, from the billing page, in a couple of clicks. You keep your plan until the end of the period you already paid for.
Stop scrubbing. Start describing.
One free hour a month, every month. Bring one long recording and watch it become a video you'd actually post.
